Because of that, his international song "Anak" was composed. He returned to his family and asked forgiveness for his ignorance. His parent welcomed with open arms just like the prodigal son in the song. Freddie and his father became closer after his father read the lyrics of "Anak" and his father died afterwards.

WRITTER'S PURPOSE
The message of this song is we need to be grateful to our parents, Because this song illustrates a parents love for her one and only child. Even though it's difficult, she makes effort for her daughters well-being. This explains the sufferings of the parents for their child but the child just ignore them, and doesn't even care about her/his parents. I learned something because of this song. We should follow and obey our parents because they know what are the things that can be bad and good to us.
Ever since we were born, our parents or guardians were the one who took care of us. When we learnt to walk for the first time, when we spoke for the first time, and other fundamental firsts, they were there to witness them. They gave us the purest form of love. But there are some sons or daughters when they get older, they rebel against their parents.
